## What Is Sensibull?

Sensibull is an options analytics platform for Indian traders. It builds multi-leg option strategies, draws payoff diagrams, and provides option chain and open interest data.

It is not a broker. You connect it to a broker account you already hold and place trades through that connection, which is why Sensibull appears inside several broker apps rather than only at sensibull.com.

_Disclosure before we start:_ [AlgoTest](https://algotest.in/?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=internal&utm_campaign=seo&utm_content=main-page&utm_term=algotest&utm_source=blog&utm_medium=internal&utm_campaign=seo&utm_term=algotest&utm_content=main-page) is an options backtesting and simulation platform, so we compete with Sensibull in part. This review sticks to what each product does and does not do, with sources.

## How to Access Sensibull

![Sensibull Review 2026 with pros and cons](https://prod.superblogcdn.com/site_cuid_cmbhlz3q0002sxzc513a62pj5/images/image-1791355143498-compressed.png)

There is no separate Sensibull mobile app to download. Access runs through one of three routes.

- **Sensibull web.** The full platform runs in a browser at sensibull.com. You sign in by choosing your broker and authorising the connection, so there is no separate Sensibull password to manage.

- **Inside Zerodha Kite.** Zerodha users reach Sensibull from within Kite rather than logging in separately. This is the most common route in India.

- **Inside other broker apps.** Angel One, Upstox, ICICI Direct and several others embed Sensibull in their own platforms, with the feature set depending on your plan.

Because login is tied to your broker, a Sensibull session ends when your broker session does. Logging in again means re-authorising through the broker, not resetting a Sensibull password.

## Sensibull Strategy Builder and Core Features

Sensibull is built around one job: describing an options position before you take it.

- **Strategy Builder** constructs multi-leg positions and shows the payoff profile, breakevens and Greeks at current prices. It is the feature most people mean when they talk about Sensibull.

- The [**option chain**](https://algotest.in/blog/option-chain-analysis) displays implied volatility and Greeks alongside prices, which not every broker terminal does.

- **Open interest and options charts** are included, so positioning data sits in the same place as the chain.

- **Draft Portfolios** track hypothetical strategy prices and P&L before you trade them, and import broker order history into a ledger.

- The **learning material** covers spreads and option Greeks for traders coming from single-option buying.

All of this describes what a position would do under assumptions you supply. None of it tells you whether the strategy has worked before, which is the subject of the next section.

## Sensibull Pricing and Charges in 2026

Pricing depends entirely on which broker you use, and the difference is large.

**Sensibull for Zerodha users:** a free plan with 8 features, and Pro at ₹0 per month with 25 or more features. Pro is effectively free.

**Other brokers** including Angel One, Upstox and ICICI Direct: a free plan with 8 features, and Pro at ₹1,300 per month list price, discounted to around ₹800 per month, with an annual offer that works out near ₹392 per month.

That first line explains a lot about the platform's reach. A large share of Sensibull users have never compared it to anything, because for them it costs nothing.

## What Sensibull Does Not Do

Sensibull does not offer backtesting, and it does not offer an options simulator based on historical data.

This is not our characterisation. Sensibull's own help documentation states that the company "currently do\[es\] not have a back-testing or an options simulator feature based on historical data," and lists it as a feature still to be implemented. The help article points users to Strategy Builder instead.

The distinction matters more than it first appears.

[Strategy Builder](https://algotest.in/feature/strategy-builder?utm_source=seo&utm_medium=blogs&utm_campaign=strategy-builder&utm_source=seo&utm_medium=blogs&utm_campaign=strategy-builder) shows you how a position behaves at **current** prices under hypothetical moves. It is a forward-looking what-if on today's option chain.

A backtest shows you how the **same rules** performed across past expiries, through volatility spikes, through trending weeks and through the quiet ranges in between. It answers a different question: has this ever actually worked, and how badly did it lose when it failed.

You can build a clean payoff diagram for a strategy that has lost money for three years. Sensibull will not tell you that. Nothing in the product is designed to.

## Who It Suits

**Sensibull is a good fit if** you are learning options, you want clean option chain and OI data, you build positions manually, and you trade through Zerodha where Pro costs nothing.

**You will outgrow it if** you want to know whether a strategy has an edge before committing capital, you want to run the same rules repeatedly rather than judge each trade by eye, or you want to automate execution.

## Testing a Strategy Before You Risk Money On It

If you have built something in Sensibull and want to know whether it actually works, that test has to happen somewhere else.

You can take the same legs across to AlgoTest and run it two ways:

- **Backtest it** against historical option chain data to see how the structure performed across past market conditions, with slippage and brokerage included rather than assumed away.

- **Forward test it** on live prices using the [option simulator](https://algotest.in/feature/simulator?utm_source=seo&utm_medium=blogs&utm_campaign=simulator), which is what we call [paper trading](https://algotest.in/blog/paper-trading-for-beginners) at AlgoTest. The strategy runs on current market data without any capital at risk.

Most traders who do this properly use both in sequence. The backtest tells you whether an idea has ever worked. The simulator tells you whether it still does, in the market you are actually trading today.

If you want to compare the options more broadly first, our round-up of [the best options simulators in India](https://algotest.in/blog/best-options-simulator-india/) and our list of [Sensibull alternatives](https://algotest.in/blog/sensibull-alternatives-india/) both cover the landscape.

## Test the Strategy, Not Just the Payoff

A payoff diagram tells you what a position pays at expiry if your assumptions hold. A test tells you what happened when they did not. Define the context you want to trade, the entry, the exit and how much a single position is allowed to lose, then check those rules against historical conditions and run them forward on live prices before committing capital.

[AlgoTest](https://algotest.in/) is built for that step, taking an idea and turning it into a strategy you can inspect and test before deciding whether to deploy it.

## FAQs
Q: Is Sensibull free?
A: It depends on your broker. Zerodha users get Sensibull Pro at no cost. Traders on other brokers including Angel One, Upstox and ICICI Direct get a free plan with 8 features, while Pro is listed at ₹1,300 per month and is commonly discounted to around ₹800 per month.

Q: Does Sensibull have backtesting?
A: No. Sensibull's own help documentation states that it does not have a backtesting or options simulator feature based on historical data, and lists it as a feature still to be implemented. Strategy Builder shows how a position behaves at current prices, which is not the same as testing rules against past data.

Q: Is there a Sensibull app to download?
A: There is no standalone Sensibull app. The platform runs in a browser at sensibull.com, and is also embedded inside broker apps. Zerodha users access it from within Kite rather than logging in separately.

Q: How do I log in to Sensibull?
A: You sign in through your broker rather than with a separate Sensibull account. Choose your broker on sensibull.com and authorise the connection, or open Sensibull from inside your broker's platform. Zerodha users reach it through Kite.

Q: Is Sensibull good for beginners?
A: Yes. The strategy builder, payoff diagrams and learning material make it one of the easier ways to move from buying single options to running multi-leg strategies. The limitation appears later, when you want evidence that a strategy works rather than a picture of what it might do.

Q: Can I use Sensibull and AlgoTest together?
A: Yes, and many traders do. Sensibull is used to analyse the option chain and build the structure. AlgoTest is used to backtest that structure on historical data and forward test it on live prices before any capital is committed. There is no account integration between the two, so you rebuild the legs on each platform.

Q: Is Sensibull a broker?
A: No. Sensibull is an analytics and strategy platform that connects to a broker account you already hold. Orders are routed through your broker, not through Sensibull.
